Growing Together: The Next Chapter for Celebrant Circle

At the Celebrant Circle, we've always believed that training is only the beginning.

When we first opened our doors, our mission was simple:

To provide exceptional training for exceptional celebrants.

We wanted to equip people with the skills, confidence and knowledge to create meaningful ceremonies and build fulfilling careers doing work that truly matters.

That mission hasn't changed.

What has changed is our understanding of what celebrants need to succeed. Over the years, we've had the privilege of training and supporting celebrants from across the UK. We've watched people leave careers, start businesses, find their confidence and build lives around work they genuinely love.

We've also listened.

We've listened to our members, celebrants across the profession, funeral directors, venues, and industry colleagues. We've heard the concerns about the increasing number of training providers entering the market. We've heard conversations about oversaturation, about celebrants feeling unsupported after training, and about the gap between gaining a certificate and building a sustainable celebrant business.

Those conversations matter.

They have encouraged us to reflect on the role we want Celebrant Circle to play in the profession and the legacy we want to create.

A Commitment to Quality, Not Quantity

The Celebrant Circle has never been interested in training the largest number of celebrants. In fact, one of the decisions we are most proud of is that we have always limited the number of celebrants we train each year. We believe our responsibility extends far beyond the training room.

Our success is not measured by how many people attend our courses.

It is measured by how many celebrants go on to build successful, sustainable and rewarding careers.

That has always been our ethos.

It is why we keep our training cohorts small. This is why we provide ongoing support after training. It is why we continue to invest in professional development, mentoring and community. And it is why we are evolving.

Beyond Training: Supporting Professional Celebrants

As we look to the future, we will place an even greater emphasis on professional development, collaboration, and ongoing support, whilst offering a very small number of new celebrant training options.  Our vision is to help celebrants not only enter the profession but flourish within it, building sustainable, successful careers supported by a thriving professional community.

Because training to become a celebrant is only the first chapter.

The real questions often come afterwards.

  • How do I attract more clients?

  • How do I build confidence in my ceremonies?

  • How do I improve my writing?

  • How do I market my business authentically?

  • How do I increase my income without compromising my values?

  • How do I avoid feeling isolated as a self-employed professional?

These are the conversations happening every day within our community.

They are also the areas where ongoing support makes the greatest difference.

We believe celebrants deserve more than a paper qualification. They deserve access to high-quality professional development, business guidance, mentoring, peer support and opportunities to continue growing long after their training has finished.

Raising Standards Together

We are passionate advocates for professionalism within celebrancy. For us, professionalism isn't about gatekeeping. It isn't about exclusivity. It's about ensuring celebrants have access to the support, education and resources they need to serve families and communities with confidence, skill and integrity.

We want to play an active role in raising standards across the profession by creating opportunities for celebrants to learn from one another, collaborate, share expertise and continue developing their craft.

The best professions are built on lifelong learning, and Celebrancy should be no different.

Collaboration Over Competition

One of the things we love most about the celebrant community is its generosity.

Some of the most meaningful growth happens when celebrants come together to share ideas, solve challenges and support one another.

As Celebrant Circle evolves, creating spaces for collaboration will become an even greater priority. Whether through professional development sessions, networking events, mentoring, community discussions or our Celebration of Celebrants event, we want to continue bringing people together.

Because none of us grows in isolation.

We are stronger when we learn from one another.

Supporting the Whole Celebrant

Being a celebrant is rewarding work, but it can also be emotionally demanding.

Behind every ceremony is a professional investing time, care, creativity and emotional energy whilst supporting others during some of life's most significant moments.

That is why our approach has always extended beyond practical skills and business development.

  • We care about the well-being of our members.

  • We care about confidence.

  • We care about connection.

  • We care about creating a community where celebrants feel supported, encouraged and valued.

Because when celebrants are supported, they are better able to support the people they serve.

Proud to Set the Standard

As we look ahead, our vision is clear.

We want the Celebrant Circle to be the place professional celebrants turn to throughout their careers.

  • A place for learning.

  • A place for encouragement.

  • A place for collaboration.

  • A place for professional development.

  • A place where celebrants can continue to grow, regardless of how long they have been working in the profession.

We are incredibly grateful to every student, member, trainer, supporter and industry colleague who has been part of our journey so far. Together, we are building something much bigger than a training organisation. We are building a professional community. One that values quality over quantity. One that prioritises support over sales. One that believes success is measured not by how many people we train, but by how many celebrants we help to thrive.

And for that reason, we remain proud to set the standard in support, training and community for professional celebrants.
