Course Description
Lorna Vyse will be leading this fabulous new session for us. We are so excited. She is a professionally qualified Childhood Bereavement Specialist passionate about supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of someone important in their lives. She has nearly thirty years of experience working with children of all ages in various mental health, youth, and community settings, mostly in the voluntary sector. ��Summary of Content: • Understanding how loss and bereavement impact children and young people. • Understanding research. • Models of grief. • Explaining death to children and young people. • Use of appropriate terminology. • Tender conversations and why we need to have them. • Empowering children and young people in their grief. • Exploring bereavement support resources. • Signposting to additional bereavement support services.
