At Celebrant Circle Ltd, we are committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our members, students, staff, contractors, and visitors.
As a celebrant training and membership organisation, we acknowledge our legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other relevant UK regulations, and we take our duty of care seriously.
We strive to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment in all training sessions, workspaces, events, and digital platforms.
Our Commitment
We will:

Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of staff, students, members and visitors.

Comply with relevant UK legislation including the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and Display Screen Equipment Regulations where applicable.

Ensure that training venues (in-person or virtual) meet safety standards and are appropriate for use.

Conduct regular risk assessments for training activities, events, and operational procedures.

Provide appropriate health and safety information, instruction, and training to staff and associates.

Promote mental wellbeing alongside physical safety as a core aspect of our working environment.
Personal Responsibility
All individuals and members who are working with or training with the organisation ,share responsibility for health and safety. Everyone is expected to:

Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and for that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions.

Cooperate with the organisation to enable all health and safety obligations to be met.

Report any hazards, near-misses, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to ensure swift action.

Use any equipment or facilities provided in a safe and appropriate manner.

Be mindful of wellbeing - both their own and others’ - in all professional and training interactions.
Reporting Procedure
To ensure prompt and appropriate response, any health and safety concerns must be reported to the organisation’s directors as follows:

Initial Report: Notify a staff member or trainer immediately in person or by email.

Formal Notification: Submit details in writing to the company directors via email: celebrantcircle@gmail.com.

Response and Action: The directors will investigate the concern, log the issue, and take appropriate corrective action within a reasonable timeframe.

Follow-Up: Where necessary, outcomes and measures will be shared with the individual who raised the concern, while maintaining confidentiality.
All incidents, including minor ones, will be documented and reviewed to help prevent future occurrences.
Supporting Our People
We are committed to supporting staff, students and members through:

Promoting open communication and regular check-ins, especially for those working remotely or delivering ceremonies or training alone.

Offering access to mental health resources and signposting to external support services.

Providing flexibility in training formats to accommodate personal or health-related needs.

This policy is reviewed annually or as required in light of new guidance, incidents, or organisational changes.
