Course Description

Join Michelle Attrill as she introduces and develops our understanding of deaf awareness and ‘Deaf’ culture and teaches some relevant BSL that can be used as a professional Celebrant. During this session, you will - Develop an understanding of hearing loss and deafness Explore Deaf Culture and the Deaf Community. Become aware of the legal context to service delivery Understand how to use British Sign Language/English Interpreters in the planning and delivery of ceremonies/services Learn the BSL alphabet and some relevant signs for use in the profession Members-only session - free to all members
